About Me

I am a Grand Rapids, MI mixed media artist. I earned a living in the insurance industry until Dec 2020 when I retired early to dedicate more time to art and family. I work in a variety of art mediums and photography. 

Creative Walkabout has been important to me for a very long time.  I heard a walkabout was an escape from the day to day.  It is important for all of us to have a creative escape from the day to day. 

I was born in Illinois but moved to Iran with my family during high school, living there for 2.5 years. Since that time, I lived in many areas of the United States, settling in Michigan,  which I love. I recently completed a Michigan nature project which included over 100 pieces of art. 

  I love people all over the world and traveling.  There are fantastic people to meet everywhere. 

I have been part of several exhibits including Art Prize and and local art shows.  I have a photo displayed at the Foremost Corporate Office. I have art and photos I created during Covid as part of Grand Rapids Public Museum collections. I was also the Featured Artist of the month at Wealthy Street Bakery for July 2023.
